Hillcrest Road zebra crossing – Ada Lovelace CofE High School

This consultation has now ended.

This consultation is seeking your views on a proposed zebra crossing on Hillcrest Road, W5, close to its junction with Park View Road. It aims to improve crossing facilities for Ada Lovelace Church of England High School. The proposal is being developed as part of Ealing Council’s transport strategy and highways school travel plan to improve safety and sustainable transport across the borough.

Automatic Traffic Counts (ATCs), pedestrian movements and parking surveys were carried out in May 2022 at different times of the day and night over a one-week period. This helped us establish the level of traffic volume, speed and parking in the area. The ATCs and surveys revealed a significant volume of traffic and parking in the area at school drop off and pick up times on school days. It was also highlighted that many school pupils and other pedestrians cross Hillcrest Road at the park entrance, where we are proposing to position the new zebra crossing.

Your views

Please have a look at the plan before completing the questionnaire to submit your views. Information leaflets have also been delivered to your door.

The survey will be open from 1 to 30 September 2022.

What happens next

The results of the consultation will be analysed and a decision on whether to install a zebra crossing will be discussed with Ward Councillors for their consideration. We will update this page with any further developments.
