Greenford Road two-way cycle track consultation

The consultation

This consultation was seeking your views on several proposed highway improvements along Greenford Road from Oldfield Lane North to Green Park Way, Greenford.

As part of Ealing Council’s neighbourhood programme, we developed proposals to improve safety for cyclists, improve crossing facilities for pedestrians and cyclists and reduce vehicle speeds along Greenford Road. We proposed to narrow the carriageway, which was designed to encourage drivers to reduce their speed, while retaining the capacity of the road. This was also designed to allow us to install a new two segregated cycle track with zebra crossings for both pedestrians and cyclists. These proposals were also meant to encourage more walking and cycling along Greenford Road, in line with the Mayor’s transport strategy and the Ealing transport strategy.

What you said

The full results of the consultation are now available alongside the original consultation documents.

What happens next?

Negative resident feedback to the proposals will be taken into account before designs are finalised as summarised in the full results document. Work will proceed on the installation of the segregated cycle track and zebra crossings however.
