Live West Ealing: Low traffic neighbourhood consultation

This consultation will be live until 5 January 2020.

The consultation

Motor traffic has a serious impact on the health and quality of life of people. Currently, there are high volumes of traffic that pass through the residential streets south of the Broadway in West Ealing and we are looking to work with local residents to introduce a Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) area to help to reduce the traffic in those streets.

An LTN is a group of residential streets where non-local “through” motor traffic is discouraged so that children, the elderly and vulnerable people feel more comfortable making journeys on foot or by bike. An LTN may consist of physical changes such as one-way systems, banned turns and/or road closures which allow walking and cycling access but limit access by certain types of traffic, like cars and vans. These measures can be complemented with tree planting, improved pedestrian crossings and cycle parking.

Your views

We want to hear from residents in the local area about their area and views on a possible LTN. Please complete a short survey to submit your views.

This consultation will be live until 5 January 2020.
