Street tree inspections

The tree service routinely inspects the 24,000 trees growing along our streets on a three-yearly cycle.

We carry out tree inspections in each electoral ward every three years. Up to eight wards are inspected each year.

Inspections are undertaken by trained arboriculturists who identify any defects and hazards. Where necessary the inspectors will prescribe appropriate tree pruning to reduce risk and nuisance issues.
