Try Before You Bike is a user-friendly scheme that is specifically designed to encourage people to cycle.
The 'Try before you bike' scheme allows anyone who lives, works or studies in Ealing borough to try out a new or nearly new bike (including hybrid, folding bikes, e-bikes, e-cargo bikes and adaptive trikes) for a monthly fee. After your hire period, you can claim back what you have already paid and put it towards the cost of buying the bike.

Choose a bike
You can trial a bike for a monthly fee starting from:
- £10 for children
- £30 for a standard hybrid bike or folding bike
- £75 for an electric or an adaptive bike
- £200 for an electric cargo bike
What you get
The cost includes:
- insurance against theft and damage
- essential accessories like lights, lock and a helmet
- free delivery to your door by a cycling expert, who will help get you started
Buying the bike
If you buy the bike, the hire fees will be taken off the final price. You can pay the rest through an interest-free payment plan or by using the ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme, if offered by your employer.
