Mixed clear sack recycling service
Mixed clear sack recycling is available to residents living in properties on red routes and flats with no storage space for containers.
You can find out if you qualify for this service, and find your collection day by entering your postcode on the collection day finder.
Clear sacks are free, and you will receive a roll of 20 clear recycling sacks three times a year (February, June and October). If you need any additional sacks please call customer services on 020 8825 6000.
In the clear sack you can recycle:
- Mixed paper: Newspapers, magazines, sheet paper, shredded papers, junk mail, envelopes, leaflets, catalogues, telephone directories and yellow pages.
- Cardboard: Flattened cardboard, cereals boxes, egg boxes, toilet and kitchen roll tubes
- Metal: Cans, tins, foil and aerosols
- Glass: bottles and jars.
- Plastic: tubs, trays, pots, fizzy drink bottles and detergent bottles.
Please flatten all cardboard and rinse all cans, tins and plastics.
Do not put broken glass in the clear sack, please wrap it and dispose of in your black refuse sack.
Place your clear sack at your allocated collection point by 7am each week on your collection day.
