London Youth Games

Each year, over 20,000 young Londoners take part in the London Youth Games, competing  in over 30 different sports. This is a fantastic opportunity to represent your borough in the largest sporting event in Europe.

Sports include: Athletics, Aquathlon, Archery, Basketball, Badminton, BMX, Canoeing, Cycling, Diving, Fencing, Football, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Kayak, Netball, Indoor Rowing, Sailing, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Trampolining, Volleyball and Weightlifting.

The competition

The competition format is unique to each sport, with the majority of trials taking place from March onwards. Most team sports will have a qualifying round (May and June time) that takes place before the finals weekend (early July). Individual sports may be run in a slightly different format. Details of competition format will be available at the trials.

Trials will be held for a number of sports and are open to all experienced competitors who live or go to school in the borough and fulfil the relevant criteria for each sport. Visit London Youth Games for further information.
