About park rangers
The main role of park rangers is to make sure the borough's green spaces are safe, enjoyable and welcoming places for people to visit, as well as good habitats for wildlife.
This includes monitoring the condition of features such as footpaths, fencing, trees and ponds; facilities such as buildings and furniture; and dealing with issues such as graffiti and littering, along with general site health and safety and other matters.
The ranger team consists of one manager and seven park rangers, who are each responsible for a number of wards throughout the borough.
