Council housing service standards

We will:

  • Send all leaseholders and service charge paying freeholders a Homeowner handbook
  • Hold a Leasehold Forum at least four times a year
  • Send an estimated service charge bill before the end of March each year
  • Send a final account each September to cover the previous financial year
  • Send you a service charge statement every January and July
  • Provide information about paying service charges and offer various methods of payment
  • Send out pre-sale and remortgage packs within ten working days, to help you sell or remortgage your property
  • Send leaseholders a building insurance certificate each year
  • Consult leaseholders individually on service contracts that last more than 12 months, and where the individual contribution is expected to be over £100
  • Consult leaseholders individually on major works that are planned for your building or estate and provide details of the works and estimated costs
