We want to make sure our housing service meets the needs of our residents. To do this, we need to understand the needs of our council tenants and leaseholders. That is why we are conducting a Resident Census. It is part of our ongoing commitment to improving housing services and neighbourhood initiatives.
The Leadership Factor (TLF) Research, an external agency, has been appointed to carry out the census. They also carry out our monthly Tenant Satisfaction Measure (TSM) surveys. They may contact you by telephone or email to invite you to take part.
What will they ask me?
The survey will include questions about your household including:
- protected characteristics such as age and gender
- support and communication needs
- information about everyone living in your home
Why your input matters
We want to better understand the needs of our residents so that we can make sure that we take account of your needs when providing services to you. For example, if you tell us that you have mobility issues, we can inform officers and contractors that may visit you to carry out repairs to give you enough time to answer the door. Your feedback will help shape a fair and responsive housing service.
Participation is voluntary: While you are under no obligation to take part, we would appreciate it if you could take some time to respond. The information you provide will help us to make sure that our services are tailored to your needs.
All responses will be treated confidentially and will include a ‘prefer not to say’ option.
