How we can help
We will:
- help you stay in your current home, if possible
- help you to talk to your landlord, family or friends to help stop you becoming homeless
- explain your legal rights and the support available
- help you to find a private rented home
We will talk to you about all your housing options and what to do next.
Long wait for council and social housing
You are much more likely to be able to rent privately than to get a social housing. Social housing includes council homes and homes owned by housing associations.
Waiting times are very long and you may never get a social housing property.
If you are homeless, we will look at all housing options and explain what support is available to you.
Why you could need urgent housing support
- you are facing domestic violence or abuse
- you are sleeping rough on the street
- your landlord asks you to leave
- your family or friends ask you to leave
If your situation is not listed, you can still contact us for help.
