Notice is hereby given that a casual vacancy exists for the office of a councillor for the North Acton ward of Ealing Council.
The North Acton ward by-election will take place on Thursday 25 June 2026 from 7am until 10pm.
To vote in this by-election you must:
- be registered to vote within the North Acton ward; the last date to register is midnight on Tuesday 9 June 2026
- be 18 or over on the day of the election (polling day)
- be a British, Irish, Commonwealth or qualifying EU citizen

It takes around 5 minutes to register, and residents will need their date of birth and national insurance number.
The registration deadline is midnight on Tuesday 9 June 2026.

You now need to show photo ID to vote in person at polling stations.
If you do not have accepted photo ID, you can apply for a free voter photo ID document, called a 'Voter Authority Certificate'

The deadline to receive completed applications for Voter Authority Certificates is 5pm on Wednesday 17 June 2026.
Voting by post or proxy
If you are not able to vote in person at your local polling station on election day, you can apply for a postal or proxy vote.
The deadline to apply for a new postal vote, or to change or cancel an existing postal or proxy vote, is 5pm on Wednesday 10 June 2026.
The deadline to apply for a new proxy vote, where a voter nominates a registered eligible person to vote for them, is 5pm on Wednesday 17 June 2026.
