Family Group Conference Service privacy notice

The Family Group Conference (FGC) Service is notifying you how we store and share your information to deliver our service to you.

Person with parental responsibility (PR) - If you are a person with PR, this is to notify you that Ealing council will share the information from Children’s Social Care (the Family Agenda Report) with the agreed family, friends (support network) and professionals invited to contribute (in person or written) to the Family Group Conference. The Family Plan will also be shared with them.

Family Support Network – If you are part of the family support network, this is to notify you that we will store your contact details and your contribution to the FGC (The Family Plan)

Purpose for processing – The provision of Family Group Conferencing (FGC) Services. The FGC service is voluntary and you can withdraw your consent to take part at any time, but to deliver the service or to protect the vital interests of yourself or others we will need to share information with relevant partner agencies, where there is legal basis for us to do so.

Legal basis for processing – The individual has given clear consent for you to process their personal data for a specific purpose.

Legitimate Interests – The information you provide will also be used for audit, quality control, training and to deal with any enquiries or complaints.

Data sharing – The personal data provided will be shared with authorised agencies and partners to provide you with relevant services including: Education, Health, CAFCASS, and other services within Ealing Children Services (Independent Reviewing Officer, Legal and Child Protection Advisor)

Transfers abroad – This data will not be transferred abroad.

Data retention – Ealing Council will retain your information whilst it is providing you with services and in accordance with the council's retention policies and associated statutory guidance.

Your rights – You have the right to ask Ealing Council for a copy of your data, the right to rectify or erase your personal data, and the right to object to processing.

However, these rights are only applicable if the council has no other legal obligation concerning that data. You also have the right to complain to the regulator, ico.org.uk
