How we get the personal information and why we have it
All Go Vocal activities (such as voting, submitting ideas, commenting, responding to surveys, etc) are systematically recorded and preserved. This information is associated with your registration details, enabling Ealing Council to match your profile with the participation data. Every interaction on Go Vocal is classified as personal data and is documented and stored. Furthermore, this personal data is connected to your registration particulars, allowing the council to correlate your profile information with the data from your participation.
Ealing Council, along with third-party processors acting on behalf of Go Vocal, collect information regarding your usage of Go Vocal to make sure it is properly functioning and secure. This includes technical details that can identify you, such as your IP address and browser information. By utilising our services, you consent to this data collection. Additionally, we gather usage data to enhance our services, and you may opt-out of this collection at any time.
Go Vocal uses your personal data to:
- communicate your input to Ealing Council and provide aggregated reports for decision-making.
- create and maintain your user profile
- manage user identification and authentication
- inform you about community activities and send alerts of interest, with the option to opt-out from notifications anytime
- improve and monitor the platform functionalities
Personal data is stored and processed only for the required period and then deleted or anonymised.
The Platform (Go Vocal) shares your personal data with Ealing Council and sub-processors working for us. The Platform (Go Vocal) will never sell or rent your data, nor share it with non-GDPR-compliant service providers.
For certain specific processing activities, if the Platform needs to use service providers based outside the EEA, data transfers will only be made to countries that the European Commission has recognized as having an adequate level of data protection. Alternatively, other measures will be implemented to ensure that your Personal Data is processed lawfully.
