This consultation will be open until 22 March 2026.
Introduction
Andre Malraux School is an independent primary school on Bordars Road in Hanwell. The school is worried about the safety of children outside the school. They say many drivers use Bordars Road as a short cut from Greenford Avenue. This makes the road busy at the start and end of the school day.
The school has asked for the current raised crossing on Bordars Road to be changed to a raised zebra crossing.
A raised zebra crossing would make the area safer. It would give children and other people a clear place to cross the road. Drivers understand that they must stop at a zebra crossing when someone wants to cross.
The council has made a plan to improve the current crossing and change it to a raised zebra crossing. This will help make the road safer.
The consultation is open from 2 March to 22 March 2026.

What happens next
We will look at all the answers to this consultation and share what we find with your ward councillors and the cabinet member for climate action. We will then decide if the scheme should go ahead. If the scheme is approved, we may change the design based on what people tell us.
Before anything is built, the council must carry out a 21 day statutory consultation. We will put notices on posts and lamp columns in the area. We will also publish a notice in the Ealing Gazette. This gives everyone another chance to share their views on the plans.
The results of this consultation will be published online at about 4 weeks after the consultation ends. You can also contact us to ask for the results.
