Own authority school admission policy changes for 2024/25

This consultation will be open until 24 December 2022.

The consultation

Every year admissions authorities are required to determine their admissions arrangements and consult on any proposed changes. They are required to publish a draft of the revised policies and consult on any proposed changes with residents, other admission authorities and any other persons with an interest in the arrangements.

The following own admission authority schools (Academies, Foundation Voluntary Aided schools) are consulting on their admissions arrangements for 2024/25.

  • Dormers Wells Infant School and Dormers Wells Junior School are consulting on a reduction to their published admission number from 90 to 60.
  • St Anselm’s Catholic Primary School are consulting as they are required to consult anually, however there are no changes to their admissions arrangements.
  • St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School are consulting on changes that will award priority within the criteria of ‘Other Baptised Catholic’ to children with siblings at the school and those that can provide a certificate of catholic practice (CCP).
  • The Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls are consulting on a change to their sibling criteria to include former pupils at the school.
  • Twyford Academy Trust are consulting on changes to their sixth form arrangements for Ada Lovelace CE High School, Twyford CE High School and William Perkin CE High School.

Your views

We would like to hear from as many people as possible about the proposed changes. To take part in the consultation, please read the proposed admissions arrangements before completing a short survey to submit your views.

This consultation will be open until 24 December 2022.

What happens next?

Results of the consultation will be sent to the above schools who will make the final decision on the admissions arrangements for 2024/25. These will be published on the council's website by 15 March 2023.
