Community schools admission policy changes for 2024/25

This consultation will be open until 24 December 2022.

The consultation

Every year the council is required to determine the admissions arrangements for community schools and consult on any proposed changes. The council is also required to publish a draft of the revised policy and consult on any proposed changes with residents, other admission authorities and any other persons with an interest in the arrangements.

This year the council is consulting on a proposed reduction in the published admission number (PAN) from 60 to 45 at Oldfield Primary School only. There are no proposed changes to the oversubscription criteria for 2024/25.

Your views

We would like to hear from as many people as possible about the proposed changes. To take part in the consultation, please read the proposed admissions arrangements fully before completing a short survey to submit your views.

This consultation will be open until 24 December 2022.

What happens next?

Results of the consultation will be included in a report to the council’s members who will make the final decision on the admissions arrangements for 2024/25. These will be published on the council's website by 15 March 2023.
