- a birth, death and marriage certificate is usually archived two months after registration
- extract birth certificate only contains the babies' name, date of birth, gender and place of birth
- full civil partnership certificate can only be applied for if you can supply the full address of couple at the time of the ceremony, otherwise you will get an extract
- fast track fee is in addition to the standard certificate fee and is applied to every copy. The fast track service is a same day service and certificates are usually ready in one hour
- a £6.50 non-refundable administration fee is included for searching, inputting and monitoring the application on our systems, and production of the certificate. If we are unable to trace the record, the certificate fee only will be refunded. Please read carefully, the hospitals and areas we cover before applying and paying for a certificate
- postage costs are £3.50 for the certificate to be sent via 1st class recorded delivery or £7.35 for special delivery
Notice of marriage and civil partnership
£42/£54* plus a non-refundable admin fee of £6.50 per person to pay.
*Since 1 March 2015, the £54 fee applies to both parties when either party is not a British/EU national and they do not have current evidence of settled status in the UK or a valid marriage/civil partnership visa.

Statutory ceremonies
The fee for the attendance of a registrar at a marriage or civil partnership at the register office (statutory room) is £56.
You will need to check availability with Ealing Register Office, and have a booking for our statutory room, in order to request this type of ceremony and before you give your notice of marriage in Ealing. Both parties must be residents of the borough of Ealing to use this service.
There is limited weekday availability and no availability at weekends. There can be a long wait for this type of ceremony. If we have no availability within your chosen timescale, please check with other register offices.
Registrars attendance
For ceremonies taking place in:
- Ealing: a deposit of £235 is payable before entering notice of marriage or civil partnership; if you have not decided on a date, this can be confirmed at any time after your appointment
- a registered building with no approved person: charged £235 before 5pm (evenings and bank holidays carry a higher fee)
- an approved premises: these fees are for registrars to attend and celebrate your ceremony; there will be a separate fee for hiring the room which is paid directly to the venue
- venues other than the Brentham Club, you must book your date with the venue, pay their room hire fee and also contact the register office to book registrars to attend your ceremony

Citizenship ceremonies
Group citizenship ceremonies are free of charge and are take place on a Thursday
Private citizenship ceremonies are charged at £168 and available any week day. If you wish to have your ceremony on a Saturday the charge will be £210.
A deposit is payable at the time of booking for a private citizenship appointment. If you attend the appointment, the deposit will be used towards payment for the service.
