Childminder start up grants

In the 2023 spring budget, the chancellor announced an extension of the early year’s entitlements to provide 30 hours of free childcare per week to all  working parents of 2 year olds from April 2024 and babies aged 9months+ from September 2024. To meet the demand for additional childcare provision, the government is providing grants for new childminders to enter the sector. Applications for funding will open in November 2023.
