Childcare training

Statutory and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training is available to those who work or volunteer in childcare settings in the borough. This includes prospective childminders who are looking to register with Ofsted, current childminders, nurseries, pre-schools, and out of school providers.

Training can be recorded and booked using the council's training booking website www.ealingcpd.org.uk. The Early Years Training Team also offer advice on funding and qualifications in Early Years and can be contacted by emailing trainingsupport@ealing.gov.uk or telephone 020 8825 9761.

The Family Link Scheme
The scheme offers short breaks with a carer/family to children with disabilities. Becoming a carer or sitter on the scheme can be a valuable experience and a way of starting a career in childcare.
