Social value benefits for local businesses

Ealing Council are working closely with our contracted suppliers in progressing with social value commitments. Contracted suppliers from a diverse range of industries have committed to mentoring and supporting local businesses. The support and mentoring covers activities such as bid writing, administrative, marketing and promotion, and data collection.

Business support programmes  

Businesses across the borough can take part in 2 free support programmes, designed to help them grow, win contracts, and innovate. Funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the programmes provide include one-to-one support, webinars, and networking sessions with other local businesses.

Become supplier ready

The Supplier Ready programme will help small businesses sharpen their bid-writing skills and prepare for procurement opportunities with the council, major construction projects, and large private sector buyers. The programme runs until March 2026 and includes:

  • online bid skills workshops
  • live networking events
  • one-to-one tender advice sessions

Boost your business growth

Innovate Ealing is another free support programme offering tailored advice and mentoring to help businesses in the borough grow. The highlights of the programme are:

  • online masterclasses
  • in-person workshops
  • bespoke one-to-one mentoring
  • networking and ongoing support

Business pioneers fund

A £1million scheme designed to support innovation in products and services, the fund provided grants to Ealing’s entrepreneurs, micro and small businesses to be used for testing, prototyping innovations, supporting adaptations and diversifications of products or services.
