How we calculate your share of the service charge
Each flat and each block of flats has its own gross value (former rating system). The amount of service charges you pay is based on the gross value of the flat, which is a percentage of the total gross value of all the flats in the building. In simple terms the service charges are based on the size of a property but not necessarily on the number of bedrooms that it has.
The service charge year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
