Community champions

Apply to be a community champion

How it works

  • If you are over 18 and live or work in Ealing, you can apply to become a community champion. Even if it is your first time volunteering - you do not need any previous skills or experience
  • You will be invited to an initial discussion with the public health team, and will be required to complete a DBS check
  • We give you the latest information on health and wellbeing in Ealing. You will get an e-newsletter and be invited to regular forum meetings connecting you with other champions and public health experts
  • You share this information with anyone in your community, through different methods which we can support with
  • You give us with feedback on public health messages, and what is and isn’t working in the programme
  • You do not have to dedicate a minimum or maximum number of hours per week, or for a set length of time. You can be a community champion for as long as you want. If you want to stop being a community champion, you can email us at any time, and we will take you off our database within ten working days.
