Ealing’s new evening and night-time economy strategy

Do you live or work in the borough? Perhaps you’re a regular visitor, own a business or part of a community group? If so, we want to hear what you think about the borough’s nightlife.

Ealing Council is launching a survey that will help to shape the future of the borough’s night-time economy, and influence its new evening and night-time economy strategy. Once completed, the strategy will set out the council’s plans to ensure the borough is one of the best places in London to go out, work, and run a business between the hours of 6pm to 6am.

The night-time economy is used to describe a wide range of activities from a trip to the theatre or a family meal to a night out at a club.

The council wants to work closely with residents and businesses to develop a community-led vision. The survey will help it better understand the evening and night-time activity that takes place in the borough. That knowledge will inform the development of recommendations to support night workers, town centre visitors, and businesses.

Have your say by completing the online survey. The survey closes on Tuesday 30 April 2024.

A series of evening events will take place next month that will help to pilot new evening and night-time activities to inform the strategy development. These events will also be an opportunity for the council to gather ideas from the local community. Event details will be published on this page.

There will also be separate sessions with high street businesses and key stakeholders, including universities and major employers, to consider potential problems and opportunities, and establish a set of key themes and recommendations to embed into the new strategy.

The strategy will then be presented to Ealing Council’s cabinet in June 2024.
