The Jewish community of Sydney gathered on Bondi Beach to celebrate the start of the festival of Chanukah, in the hope of bringing joy and light into a fragile world, like so many communities do during these festive months.
The terrorist attack that unfolded has left many dead, and many more traumatised. Jewish communities worldwide will be feeling more fearful and less safe as a consequence of these dreadful acts.
Once again, the council is working with the Metropolitan Police to offer support and enhanced protection to the Jewish communities of Ealing.
