Stanhope Primary School new rebuild confirmed by the council

Cabinet member for a fairer start, Councillor Kamaljit Kaur Nagpal, said: ““I am very pleased that our bid has secured funding for the new design and rebuild of Stanhope Primary School in Greenford, and delighted that this will continue to provide access to good and sustainable schools in the community and invest in education and the future of our young people.

“This is another success story for schools in our borough, we cannot wait to begin conversations on the design of the new school. The re-design will be an asset to the community, as well as enhance and assist pupils in achieving their greatest potential with access to modern state-of-the art facilities.

"Education is one of our top priorities, and the news comes following the successful bid for Northolt High School, where design plans are underway, and we look forward to completion in September 2025.”

Stanhope Primary School is built on a large site, which will enable the building work to take place away from the current school buildings, so not causing any disruption to existing education while allowing for enough outside play space, away from the building works. The children will be able to move to the new school on completion of the project, at which point the current school will be demolished.

The plans and discussions will take place, with the governing board, head and council education team, as soon as a contractor has been appointed. This will include a full feasibility project, so as not to disrupt current education on site.

Ealing Council ‘s announcement comes as part of the council’s commitment to provide continued access to good and sustainable schools and is a strong step forward in investing in Ealing’s schools and young people.
