Shaping Ealing aims to gather the views of residents and businesses on what they love or want to see changed in their local areas.
Over the next few months, Shaping Ealing will see a variety of events and activities taking place which will inform the borough’s draft Local Plan, ensuring the priorities of local people and businesses are understood and represented.
The Shaping Ealing online survey is the first of these engagement activities. Residents and business will be asked about their priorities for their neighbourhoods on key topics such as the environment, housing, high streets, health and green spaces.
Councillor Peter Mason, leader of Ealing Council, highlights the important role that residents can play in this process.
“This will be a massive opportunity for everyone who loves our borough, who live or work in the seven towns that make it what it is, to shape its future,” he said.
“We want to know what people really think. What makes our borough great? What are the bits that need to change for the better? How do we enhance the best of what we have?
“We pledged to be an open, transparent, and inclusive council, and this conversation will be an important moment for us to listen to the beating heart of the families and communities that bring so much life, vibrance and diversity to our towns.
“Whether you have a lot to say, or just a little, this is the start of a conversation that will make room for everyone to be listened to.”
Future Shaping Ealing engagement activities will be publicised online on aroundealing.com and on the council’s social media accounts.
The draft Local Plan will be presented to residents in the summer of 2022.
