Longfield Avenue in Ealing will be closed at the Gordon Road end, this Friday 8 February, from 9.30am to 3.30pm. The closure will also be in effect on Saturday 9 February from 9.30am to 3.30pm Pedestrians can still use the footways, and cyclists can dismount and push their bicycles on the footways, but there will be no motor vehicle access during the closure.
Vehicles can still turn right out of Longfield Avenue into Uxbridge Road, or turn left from Uxbridge Road into Longfield Avenue. The turning restrictions at the Uxbridge Road junction will still be in effect, as these were implemented for safety reasons.
The temporary closure is in place so the council’s contractors can safely build a new raised table across the junction. Travel along Gordon Road, including the E1 bus service, will be possible throughout the works but at times subject to temporary signal control.
