The Ofsted and Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection will take place from Monday 21 January to Friday 25 January, during which time the inspectors will visit schools and other establishments that provide for children and young people in the borough with SEN and disabilities.
A large part of the inspection is feedback to the inspectors from children and young people, and their families and carers. All parents and carers of a young person with SEN and/or disabilities will have received a letter identifying the location, date and time of a meeting they can attend to speak with the inspectors.
Apart from these meetings there are several ways in which children, young people, parents and carers can engage with the inspection process and contribute their views:
- The inspection will include an online recorded webinar to allow parents and carers of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to contribute. The webinar will take place from 12noon on Monday 14 January until midnight on Tuesday 22 January. You will need to register to take part in the webinar.
- Parents and carers contact their local Parent Carer Forum to request details of how they can attend the discussions held between parents and carers and the Ofsted/CQC inspection team.
- Parents and carers can email their contributions to Lasend.email@example.com.
Any feedback will be confidential and no contributor will be identified in the final report.
The locations the inspectors will be visiting are:
- Allenby Primary
- Brentside High
- Castlebar Special School
- Dormers Wells
- Ealing Green College
- Ealing Alternative Provision
- Grange Primary
- Buttercups Day Nursery
- Greenfields Day Nursery.
