Brand new Adult Learning Prospectus now available

Local people wishing to improve their employment opportunities, expand their horizons, get creative or brush up on their skills should look no further than the range of courses available from Ealing Council’s adult learning service.

Now available, the 2017-2018 Adult Learning Prospectus is packed with exciting courses for residents – from crafts and computer skills to languages and yoga. Plenty of brand new options are on offer this year, including a wellbeing programme with courses such as tai chi and mindfulness.

Adult learning courses provide a route into learning or employment through vocational, traineeship or apprenticeship programmes. Popular courses include childcare, health and social care, supervised teaching assistant, maths, English, music, dance, arts and crafts.

There is a flexible programme of day, evening and Saturday classes. Courses are on offer in schools, libraries and community venues across the borough.

Ealing’s adult learning service was rated ‘good’ in a recent Ofsted Inspection, and has been credited for its high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

Cllr Peter Mason, cabinet member for prosperity, skills, employment and transformation, said: “Whether you are looking to boost your job prospects, learn the local language for your next foreign adventure, or take up the craft you’ve always wanted to but haven’t had the time, this summer is as good as any to commit to learning something new.
“Through Ealing’s adult learning courses you’ll find plenty of ways to exercise your mind, as well as some great new ways into employment.”

To get started just pick up a course guide from any local Ealing library or community venue, or download it from The quickest way to enrol, book a pre-course assessment and pay is online.
