The rides will be led by cycling instructors and are an ideal way to explore Ealing’s parks and off-road routes this summer. Everyone is welcome to take part and the trips are ideal for those new to cycling or for families with children.
The rides will start and finish atthe following locations:
Churchfields Recreation Ground, next to the bandstand, 9 July and 6 August
Gunnersbury Park, next to the tennis courts near the children’s playground, 16 July and 13 August
Northala Fields, next to the café, 23 July and 20 August
Southall Park, next to the bike container at the Boyd Avenue entrance, 30 July and 27 August
Councillor Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for transport, environment and leisure, said: “Everyone is invited to take part in our summer rides. They are a brilliant way to get to know some of the borough’s beautiful off-road routes and build up some bike confidence.
“And for those who are completely new to cycling, we will have some bikes available for loan for the Gunnersbury and Southall rides so people can try before they buy. The rides start from locations around the borough, so find one that’s local to you and come down and join us.”
More information about the rides is available online at Cycle Training.
