The campaign runs from 15 May to 15 June and promotes good oral health.
Tooth decay and cavities in children can have a major impact on a child’s health and wellbeing and can lead to fillings, extractions, infections and gum disease.
There are three things parents can do to help children to develop and maintain a healthy mouth. They are:
- Brush your child’s teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion each day with a fluoride toothpaste.
- Cut down on how often you give your child sugary foods and drinks.
- Take your child to the dentist as soon as their first tooth comes through, and continue to visit regularly, or as often as they recommend.
Support the campaign by downloading the ‘smiley’ mouth and take a selfie of yourself somewhere in Ealing. Post it to our Twitter account @EalingCouncil and Instagram ealingcouncil with the hashtag #ealingsmile.
Encourage friends, family, work colleagues, neighbours to do the same and let’s all smile for Ealing.
