HM Treasury announced on the 9 June an extra £37.8 million support package for debt advice providers this year (2020-2021) so they can continue to provide essential services to help more people who are struggling with their finances due to coronavirus. The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), will oversee the allocation of the funds, including to charities, for debt advice and other money guidance services.

London Funders
The London Community Response Fund for charitable organisations
Funding is now available to charitable organisations across London affected by COVID-19/coronavirus.
The London Community Response Fund, coordinated by London Funders, is open for applications for the first wave of funding. This first wave will cover urgent needs – focusing on food and essentials and organisations can apply for up to £5,000. More funding will be available in due course for larger grants, service transformation costs, and ongoing work to support communities. Applying for the first wave doesn’t mean you can’t apply for further waves of money.
The London Community Response Fund – supported by a variety of funders – gives one easy access point for organisations seeking urgent funds during this time.
Finance for charities
The Chancellor has announced that charities across the UK will receive a £750 million package of support to ensure they can continue their vital work.
Funding for the sport and physical activity sector
The package includes funding for clubs and community organisations, existing partners facing specific financial difficulty, new and innovative ways to keep people active and recovery support and a rollover of current funding to well established partners who play a vital role in the delivery of sport and physical activity in England.
