Business recovery support
High Streets Taskforce
To support businesses and increase public confidence in the high street, Ealing Council is working with Business Improvement districts (BIDS) and other partners including Acton BID, Make It Ealing, InWest Ealing BID, Pitshanger Village Traders Association and Southall Communities to ensure that our high streets reopen safely and permitted businesses can resume trade.
The Reopening High Street Safely project is receiving up to £ £300,759 of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and the Greater London Authority is the Managing Authority for European Regional Development Fund. Established by the European Union, the European Regional Development Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.

Starting this spring, businesses in Ealing will receive advice and training in areas such as finance, winning contracts, marketing and food hygiene to strengthen and grow their business. Expert support will be delivered using a range of methods, such as webinars, one-to-one coaching and business to business engagement reflecting Ealing’s diverse business and sector needs. Further information and how to book will be provided in this section. You can also sign up to the council's business email updates.
Hospitality business webinar
The government’s plan to gradually ease lockdown restrictions means that indoor hospitality can reopen on 17 May. To help hospitality businesses in Ealing prepare for re-opening indoors the council’s regulatory services hosted a second free webinar on 11 May 2021. If you missed it, you can watch the webinar's recording on our YouTube channel.
Help and support if your business is affected by COVID-19 webinars
The government is hosting a series of free webinars to help businesses understand the support that is available. These currently cover trading internationally, information to support small businesses, and the changes to reporting, regulation and tax. You can registar to join up coming sessions or view recorded sessions that you may have missed.
Webinars for the self-employed
You can watch videos and the free webinars to learn more about the support available to you as self-employed.
Making it safe to visit Ealing
The council has put temporary measures in place to widen footways and pavements to increase the space for shoppers and has installed cycle lanes to improve access. Pavement markings and increased signage have also been put up in Ealing's town centres to further remind people to keep to social distance guidelines.
Officers have also been out visiting the high streets and providing direct support to businesses.
