Ealing Pathways is a 20-week programme for 16-24 year olds that helps prepare for employment, apprenticeships or other opportunities.
Trainees are paid to work in council departments and there is a strong emphasis on identifying barriers that restrict participation in sustaining work, and learning and practicing essential work behaviours and employability skills such as attendance, and punctuality and effective communication at work.
The programme comprises of four parts:
- A paid work placement for two days a week
- Accredited training in employability, English and maths
- Personal development including mentoring, CV writing and interview practice
- Social action projects, trips and team work activities.
