Buses

Transport for London (TfL) offers maps, routes, ticket information and timetables for bus services in Ealing.

Bus shelters

Transport for London (TfL) is responsible for bus shelters in the borough. Shelters are available at all stops, where there is space. These are maintained by TfL or by ADSHEL, an advertising partner of TfL. They supply and maintain shelters in return for advertising on them.

To report any bus shelter problems contact ADSHEL

Request a bus shelter

If you know of a bus stop that needs a bus shelter, contact TfL. They will assess the number of people using the bus stop, and decide whether a shelter can be put in place.

Shelters can only be installed if:

  • the pavement is wide enough, and if the shelter
  • it does not block visibility for drivers coming out from nearby side roads

Bus service improvements

Transport for London (TfL) plan and fund bus services in the borough. The council has a role in seeking bus service improvements and more bus services. The final decision on changes to services is with TfL.

Information on bus service improvements

Bus stop accessibility

The council works in partnership with TfL to improve accessibility to bus services in the borough. We ban parking at every bus stop, make sure the kerbs are at an accessible height and work to improve passengers waiting area.

Wheelchair priority on buses

Buggy users and other passengers may use the wheelchair space if it is not in use. If a wheelchair user wants to board the bus, other passengers and buggy users will be asked to leave the space or fold their buggies.

The priority wheelchair space is the only place in the bus that wheelchair users can travel safely.
