Ealing family cycle library

The family cycle library allows people who already have a bike to borrow a child seat or trailer for up to a month, or longer during the school holidays, to carry their children safely on their bike.

There is no need to book in advance. Simply come along to the session, take-a-look at the seats available and get advice from one of the experts from London Bike Hub about which will be most suitable for your bike and child. If you bring your bike to the session, the seat will be fitted for you.

Seats can be borrowed for £5 a month and the hirer will need to pay a £50 security deposit, which will be refunded on return of the seat.

The Family Cycle Library sessions will be held at the Log Cabin Children’s Centre, 259 Northfield Avenue, next to Northfield Station, from 9.30 to 11am on alternate Wednesdays.

The children’s centre is next to Bramley Road open space, where there is plenty of cycle parking.

The family cycle library will be operating on the following Wednesdays for the remainder of 2018:

  • 19 September
  • 3, 17, 31 October
  • 14, 28 November
  • 12 December

Please continue to check this page for details of sessions next year.
