Supplementary planning guidance and documents
In addition, the council produces supplementary planning guidance (SPG) that provide additional policy guidance and amplifies upon the policies and proposals of the adopted UDP (or Plan for the Environment). They relate to topics, areas, and sites. Supplementary planning documents (SPD) replace SPGs in the new planning system introduced under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act, 2004 and perform the same function.
