Examination of Central Ealing Neighbourhood Plan

On 7 October 2016, following a previous consultation with local residents and other stakeholders, the Central Ealing Neighbourhood Forum (CENF) submitted its Central Ealing Neighbourhood Plan (CENP) for examination. Consultees were invited to make comments on the submission version of the plan during a five-week consultation period (7 October - 25 November).

The plan, as well as any feedback received, will be submitted to an independent examiner to assess the plan and make recommendations for its adoption. If successful at examination, the plan will be subject to a public referendum before adoption.

Both the CENF and Ealing Council agreed to appoint Mr John Parmiter FRICS FRSA MRTPI to conduct the examination of the Central Ealing Neighbourhood Plan. The examiner has called for a public hearing which will be held at Ealing Town Hall on the 16 February 2017. For further details about the hearing, read the examination documents. These include the finalised hearing agenda (with approximate timings), a note from the examiner detailing the hearing procedure and feedback received during the five-week consultation period (CENP-01 - CENP-36).

Following a successful hearing which took place on the 16 February 2017, the Examiner finalised his report on the 20 March 2017 and is available for download from the examination documents page (CENP-39).

On Thursday 6 July 2017, Cabinet considered the draft plan and agreed to proceed to a residents' and business referendum on the plan. The referendum is now scheduled to take place on 12 October 2017, after which, if these are successful, the plan will be formally adopted by the council. A copy of the latest version of the plan is available for download from the examination documents page (CENP-40).
