Proposal for an Ealing Town Centre Neighbourhood Development Plan

On 28 August 2012, the Local Planning Authority received an application for Central Ealing to be designated as a neighbourhood area.

Neighbourhood Area Boundary

On 7 September 2012 the Local Planning Authority published for consultation the proposed boundary. The consultation ran for six weeks up to 19 October 2012. No formal written representations were received.

On 29 October 2012 the Local Planning Authority confirmed that the proposed boundary was acceptable without the need for any changes or amendments.

A formal application in relation to the designation of the proposed “Neighbourhood Forum” for the area is expected in due course and the LPA will publish details when available.

Neighbourhood Forum

On 11 January 2013 the council published for consultation the plans to designate a neighbourhood forum for Central Ealing based on the agreed area boundary of their neighbourhood.  In accordance with Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012, the consultation lasted for a minimum of six weeks and closed on 22 February 2013.  Five formal written representation were received.

On 27 March 2013 the council formally designated the neighbourhood forum as the body capable of bringing forward proposals for neighbourhood planning in this area subject to meeting a number of conditions. No other organisation or body may be designated for that neighbourhood area until this designation expires or is withdrawn.
