Road or pavement problem

All council-maintained roads and pavements in the borough are regularly inspected - every month for major roads, and every three or six months for residential roads. Defects such as potholes or uneven pavements are noted during these inspections and are prioritised in line with the level of danger. We also carry out a yearly condition survey of all council-maintained pavements and roads. An independent highway inspector notes and measures any defects in each section of pavement or road, then calculates a condition rating for each section. This helps us choose the streets for the yearly resurfacing programme.

We know there can be problems between our inspections. If you spot anything, please report it to us.
