The resident involvement team can provide training for tenants and leaseholders to help in a number of different areas. We regularly hold training events focusing on:
- skills needed in running resident associations, for example, committee skills, effective meeting skills, minute-taking skills
- becoming a resident Inspector
- CV writing and getting into work
- basic computer skills
- first aid
- English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) classes
- safety in the home
Residents can also identify their own training courses and conferences. These courses must relate to resident involvement, housing or community development. The resident involvement team will send you an application form, and notify you about the decision and level of support granted. Each case will be judged on its own merit.
