Private rented property licensing

Renewing your property licence

You should renew your mandatory HMO licence if it is about to expire and you still need to license the property. You must renew your licence three months before it expires.

Due to system maintenance work, we are currently unable to accept online mandatory HMO licence renewals. If you need to renew your mandatory HMO licence, please contact PRSlicensing@ealing.gov.uk.

Please note that additional HMO and selective licences granted under the previous schemes cannot be renewed. You will need to apply for a brand new licence.

Renewals can be made either with or without material changes.  Material change refers to a change to the property itself or its management. It includes changes to, but not limited to, the layout of the property, use of rooms or spaces, changes in fire safety, property management or tenancy management. (This list is not exhaustive.)
