A carers emergency card provides peace of mind for carers that if they are involved in an accident, are suddenly taken ill or have a personal crisis, then the emergency services will know that there is someone who will not manage without the care that they provide.
It is a credit card sized card and key fob for you to carry at all times. In the event of an emergency this will alert emergency services to contact Ealing adult social care to put your emergency support plan into place.
Who is the carer’s emergency card for?
The card is available to all family and informal carers who provide care for someone who would be unable to look after themselves if they were unable to care for them due to an accident, emergency or personal crisis.
The person cared for must be an Ealing resident, but they do not need to be known to Ealing adult social care in relation to their own needs.
