CHOICE (Care and Housing Options in the Community of Ealing)

CHOICE provides a variety of supported living opportunities within the community for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. CHOICE is made up of three teams: 

  • Supported living: Six housing association houses with two to three customers with individual tenancies living in them.  Depending on the needs of the customers staffing hours, including sleep-ins, vary.
  • Outreach: Customers live independently in their own accommodation.  Support hours are dependent on the needs of the customer.
  • Ealing Shared Lives (ESL): An adult placement scheme providing long-term support, respite and day opportunities - how to get a shared lives carerhow to become an Ealing Shared Lives carer

Through person centred planning and developing a supportive network of friends, family and professionals, customers are encouraged to be an active participant in everyday community life.

People wishing to access the service must be FACS (Fair Access to Care) eligible and be referred by the community team for people with learning disabilities.  For more information please contact the CHOICE office on (020) 8825 8080.
