Council-run care and support services

The council provides local day centres and programmes for people in need of care and support services in the borough. This includes:

  • older people
  • adults with learning difficulties
  • adults with mental illness

Day centres

  • Cowgate Day Centre in Greenford is a council-run day service for adults with learning disabilities and challenging needs.
  • Michael Flanders Resource Centre, also in Acton, provides day opportunities for individuals over the age of 65 who have been assessed by Ealing Council as having critical or substantial needs.

In your own home

Ealing Shared Lives is a placement service providing carers for family based placements for adults with learning disabilities on a short or longer term basis.  

Mental health

The Solace Centre in West Ealing is a daytime drop-in centre for adults aged 20-65 with mental illness.

Short breaks service

The short break service is a registered care home, providing short breaks or respite care for adults with learning disabilities in Ealing.
