Getting involved with decision making

Speaking opportunities at committees

The council holds a number of formal public meetings that take decisions and scrutinise issues affecting the borough. These include the General Purposes Committee, Licensing Sub Committees and specialist scrutiny panels. It is not usually possible for members of the public to speak at Cabinet meetings.

With the permission of the relevant committee chair, it may be possible for you to have your say on an agenda item that is of interest.

Please contact the committee team on 020 8825 6253 or 7497 for more information.

There is an agreed procedure with regards to public speaking at meetings of the council’s Planning Committee. Please contact the committee team for more information.
