Consultation on a renewal of borough-wide Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO)

This consultation will be open from 12 July to 6 September 2022.

The consultation

Ealing Council wants to hear your views about anti-social behaviour and public safety and is consulting on whether to extend the borough-wide Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO).

The borough-wide PSPO was introduced in 2019 to address concerns regarding anti-social behaviour in Ealing's public spaces, including town centres, parks and housing estates. It identifies unreasonable and persistent behaviours that have a harmful effect on people in public spaces. PSPO gives the police and the council an additional tool to tackle these behaviours.

Further details on the current PSPO are available on the supporting statement.

Your views

We are now seeking your views on extending the current PSPO that ends in September 2022. Please complete the survey by 6 September 2022.

Information you provide through this survey will be invaluable in informing the decision on extending the current PSPO.

What happens next

All responses from the consultation will be considered by the council and a decision on whether to renew the PSPO will be taken in September 2022. The council will publish the results online within a month of the consultation end date.
