  • A birth, death and marriage certificate is usually archived two months after registration.
  • Extract birth certificate only contains the babies' name, date of birth, gender and place of birth.
  • Full civil partnership certificate can only be applied for if you can supply the full address of couple at the time of the ceremony, otherwise you will get an extract.
  • Fast track fee is in addition to the standard certificate fee and is applied to every copy. The fast track service is a same day service and certificates are usually ready in one hour.
  • A £5 non-refundable administration fee is included for searching,  inputting and monitoring the application on our systems, and production of the certificate. If we are unable to trace the record, the certificate fee only will be refunded.
  • Postage costs are £2.50 for the certificate to be sent via 1st class recorded delivery or £6.50 for special delivery.

* Since 1 March 2015 the £47 fee applies to both parties when either party is not a British/EU national and they do not have current evidence of settled status in the UK or a valid marriage/civil partnership visa.

Ceremonies are available at The Brentham Club, The Small Hall Wednesday  between 10am-3.30pm; Thursday and Friday between 1.30pm and 3.30pm; and Saturday 10am-5pm

The fee for the attendance at a marriage at  the register office (statutory room) is £46. You will need to check availabilty and get prior agreement with the register office, in order to request this type of ceremony.

A deposit of £35/£47 per person is payable when booking a notice of marriage and civil partnership. There is also a non- refundable admin fee of £5 per person to pay.

For ceremonies taking place in Ealing a deposit of £195 is payable before entering notice of marriage or civil partnership. If you have not decided on a date, this can be confirmed at any time after your appointment.  

Ceremonies in a registered building with no approved person are charged at £195 before 5pm (evenings and bank holidays carry a higher fee). 

For ceremonies at all approved premises these fees are for registrars to attend and celebrate your ceremony. There will be a separate fee for hiring the room which is paid directly to the venue.

For ceremonies at venues other than the Brentham Club, you must book your date with the venue, pay their room hire fee and also contact the register office to book registrars to attend your ceremony.

There is also a £70 fee for the pack you will need to organise the ceremony. Copies of the certificates are available at £11 each.

A deposit of £215 is payable at the time of booking the ceremony.

Citizenship ceremonies

Group citizenship ceremonies are free of charge and are performed on a Tuesday.

Private citizenship ceremonies are charged at £153 and available any weekday. If you wish to have your ceremony on a Saturday the charge will be £193

A deposit is payable at the time of booking for a private citizenship appointment. If you attend the appointment, the deposit will be used towards payment for the service. 

European Union Settlement Service Indentification Verification (EUSSIV)

The fees for Monday to Friday appointments are:

  • £17 for each adult application
  • £28 for an emergency/same day appointment

The following fees apply for Saturday appointments:

  • £28 for each adult application

A deposit is payable at the time of booking for a European Union Settlement Service appointment. If you attend the appointment, the deposit will be used towards payment for the service.
