2011 Census

The 2011 Census section aims to provide the most up to date information, analysis and releases from the 2011 Census. Where possible analysis also contains comparisons with other areas in London and the UK. The census is also the most up-to-date and accurate source of demographic information for the borough.

Ealing’s population according to the 2011 Census was 338,449.

Population and migration

Population for any given year is taken as the total population at mid-year i.e. 30 June. The 2012 mid-year population estimate for Ealing was 340,700. This was based on the 2011 Census, taken on 27 March 2011.

State of Ealing reports

The State of Ealing reports are profiles of the borough containing the latest statistics about Ealing from many different sources. Where possible the data have been presented in tables, charts and maps for ease of understanding. Every effort has been made to accurately present the latest data available at the time of update, at the most relevant geographies.

The reports present an analysis of data under the key themes of: Place; Population; Economy and Enterprise; Education; Housing; Health and Well Being, Community Safety; and Environment
