A range of recycling and refuse services are available to residents of Ealing, including: household recycling, garden waste collection, bulky items collections, re-use collections, electronic and electrical recycling and reuse and recycling centres and neighbourhood sites.
Bank holiday changes to refuse and recycling collections
Refuse and recycling collections, including garden waste, will be one day later than usual following the August bank holiday. See the revised collection schedule.
Alternate weekly collections spring 2016
On Tuesday 16 June 2015 the council's cabinet agreed proposals to introduce wheelie bins and switch to alternate weekly refuse and recycling collections.
The new simpler service is expected to be introduced in late spring 2016 and will help the council reach its target of recycling 50% of household waste by 2018.
50% is a national target that Ealing must reach by 2020. The borough is embarking on a drive to boost our recycling rate and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
There are lots of small things you can do to help us reach 50% by 2020.
Use our visual recycling tool to find out what, and how you can recycle from each room in your home.
Whether you live in a house, flat with clear sack services, or a flat with communal services most household items can be recycled through home collection, at neighbourhood sites or at re-use and recycling centres.
